Hey everyone!

Sorry I’ve been so scarce. I remember thinking back in April that I was going to have a very boring, uninteresting summer filled with lazy beach days and where I would obsess over the fact that I wasn’t as busy as I’d like in the work department.

Well, it’s almost July and so far, the weather here has been horrible so I’ve had no lazy beach days. We have a baby goose living in the house who is more high maintenance than a two-year-old, so I haven’t been bored. And I’m working on a short story for an anthology that’s due next week, have three proposals, and a novella to write by the end of the summer, so I definitely don’t have anything to obsess over in the (lack of) work department. But I wanted to take a quick break from work to post about a really great auction that the Amazing Chelsea from Vampire Book Club is holding: Books Fighting Cancer.

Not only is Chelsea a great writer, blogger, and friend, she’s dedicated to helping others. She lost her dad to cancer not too long ago and she wants to help those who are still fighting and just starting to fight. Two of my family members have battled cancer in the last year, and a third was just recently diagnosed. In a word, cancer SUCKS. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Barrow Neurological Institute. There are some great prizes and you still have time to bid on two signed books from me as well as having a character named after you in the next Shaede Assassin novel. Please stop by and help contribute to a really great cause!
